Tastes

Black cherries, fig, and a little vanilla nose; dried fruit, fresh oak, and walnuts; a lot of heat—too much honestly; long finish with walnuts and some cedar; decent flavor, but too hot to be enjoyable for me

This is very good for the price point; ripe red apple, plum, vanilla, and caramel nose; toffee, caramel, and pear flavor with some creamy brûlée custard; finishes pretty clean except for some burnt caramel; very smooth; thin, but satisfying texture

Sherry, oak, vanilla, and fig nose; sherry, oak, stone fruit, and dried fruit; medium spice, medium texture; finishes fairy dry with dried fruit; tastes like a solid sherry-forward scotch, but not worth the price

Nose is vegetal, a little floral, with a little musty mold, but mild; pear, honeysuckle root vegetables; thick texture, mild spice; pear and faint honey finish

Oloroso sherry, stone fruit, and some nutmeg on the nose; oak, baking spice, some rye spice, vanilla; nice medium texture; fairly hot; finishes with baked apple and oak; a good approximation of a highland scotch, but nothing special

Cherries and stone fruit nose; black cherry, honey, amaretto flavor; thin and watery texture; very smooth with little burn; finishes with black cherry and a little anise; very good value for $30

Near the top of my bucket list; lots of red apple and some toffee on the nose; mostly poached apple and pear with some fig and walnut flavor; very mellow and smooth; fairly sweet, but finishes dry with poached fruit lingering for a long time; the sherry and mizunara character comes through for sure; lovely, but not mind blowing and surely not worth the price tag in the US; I prefer the brightness and complexity of the 12yr

Awesome custard af nose; vanilla, cinnamon, and oak; smooth and easy to drink; pretty thin and watery; finishes pretty clean with just a little oak and baking spice

The nose is nice and actually has a lot of agave, as well as coconut, peat, and a spring day floral/dirt thing going on; almonds, coconut water, biscuit, and oak; fairy dry; long, low burn; finishes with almonds, oak, and light, fresh coconut; overall solid and the peat is subtle and balanced, but doesn’t stand out to me, especially for the price

Big dark berry, baking spice, and vanilla nose; big dark berry flavor and baking spice; lots of spice, fair burn; thick, unctuous texture; finishes with dark berries and oak finish
