Tastes

Nose had some fruit and smoke. A bit zesty and a little restrained. Taste was the fruit and smoke again, clove and cinnamon come through. Slight caramel sweetness. The finish was peppery with oak and clove, almost a leathery finish that's a bit sweet.

Bready notes on the nose. Dried red fruit. Slightly sugary cereal notes. Taste is excellent. Great creamy velvety texture. Vanilla. Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Sweet finish with the baking spice folded in.

Not sure if its just my bottle, something is off. Kind of getting a synthetic cork taste in the whiskey. Silky texture, vegetal notes, a metallic vanilla, lower alcohol makes it "smooth". Adding ice or water does not help, it drowns pretty quickly. I was hopeful for this one based on some other reviews from YouTube but for me, its not a favorable pour.

Nose is mild, peppery (white pepper), fresh, dried grass. Taste is drier, slightly peppery also, more of a dried stone fruit, smoke is subtle. Finish is a little bit of smoke & grassy. Medium in length.

Heavy on oak and peanut, spiced apples, graham cracker, caramel. Oak and leather on the finish.

Unique, bold and flavorful. Nothing bad about it

Nose: sweet, slightly sour apple, dust, rubbing alcohol Taste: metallic vanilla, soft red apple skin, something else i cant quite pinpoint Finish: falls off quickly, apple skin note hangs then the metallic note lingers

A bit weak and bland but slightly better than the rye. Decent spice at the end.

On the nose was immediately rich and fruity, I initially had lighter honeyed fruit like apple or pear. You get oak tannin, reminded me of a highland direction. But the taste let's you know this is not Scotch, slight chocolate notes, oak, vanilla, darker stewed fruits. The Balcones signature is definitely in this one
