This one is pretty good. Nice spice. Even at 40% it's got a very good nose, doesn't feel muted at all by the low abv. It's fruity, spicy, slight metallic note that i get in a lot of Irish. When I hold it and move it around slightly in my mouth I get a slight juicy fruit note. An enjoyable and affordable whiskey that hits above its price point in blind tastings for me. I'll restock this.

Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 23, 2021All around solid. Nose: spice, dusty oak, more of a burnt caramel Taste: initially sweet and dark fruit, turns dry and nutty Finishes with a dry sweetness, toasted oak. No spiky edges on this bourbon. Overall good and good value21.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose I get spices like clove or cinnamon, dark fruit, black tea, toffee. Taste is spicy, juicy fruit more like peach, maple, slightly peppery. The finish is medium with slight oak char, not too drying. This is surprisingly very good, I got a great price on it. I'd put it up against any similarly aged bourbons.38.0 USD per Bottle

Old Pulteney 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 29, 2021 (edited June 27, 2021)Nose is bright and fresh for the abv, slight toffee note, citrus and vanilla. Taste is much more flat, slightly sweet then sour, woody and malty. Short to medium finish doesn't give much help to this. But decently average overall.45.0 USD per Bottle -
Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed January 28, 2021 (edited March 28, 2021)This would benefit from slightly higher abv. But the description is accurate; banana bread, banana pudding, vanilla, caramel, etc. It's tasty but not too complex. Above average and good for its price. -
Belle Meade Cask Strength Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Tennessee), USA
Reviewed January 23, 2021 (edited May 7, 2021)Nose is dusty, vanilla, peppery. Initial taste was sweet, apple, maraschino cherry and finishes dry with like a sour wood plank note. Coming back to it, on the taste I got much more spice and caramel that finished peppery and still with the woody notes.60.0 USD per Bottle -
