Nikka Whisky From the Barrel
Blended — JapanTastedComplex pour with a lot going on. Nose is full of oak and sweetness. First taste is buttery rich that coats the tongue. Definitely pick up oak, smoke, chocolate, spices, pepper, clove, some cinnamon. First taste I didn’t know if I liked it. As I kept drinking, it started to wear on me. Every time I take a taste I pick up something different. A Japanese “scotch” whiskey worth a try.
High West A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 6
Rye — USATastedSpice forward on the nose. Slight sweetness after the initial spice. Sweet and full upon first taste. Mint and cinnamon with some heat. Finish is dry. Wouldn’t seek out a pour, but wouldn’t turn it down if offered. Not worth the price in my opinion.100.0 USD per Bottle
Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedHoney and vanilla on the nose. Sweet and rich at first taste, then some low heat. Easy finish with a slight oak and coffee aftertaste.
Old Forester Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USATastedJust ok. Sweet and easy first taste. Has a flavor I can’t pinpoint mid palate that I didn’t care for. Slight burn on the finish. Has a bit of a fruity aftertaste. Will let it open up a bit then give it another go.
The Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, ScotlandTastedFirst taste of Scotch. Nice and pleasant. Grapes and oak on the nose. Easy drinker. Not at rich as bourbon, but a bit sweet and a taste of raisins and oak.
Other Whiskey — Oregon, USATastedInteresting whiskey. Fruity and herby to the nose with a bit of caramel. Taste is warm and easy with hints of fruit and toffee. Silky finish.
Treaty Oak Ghost Hill Texas Bourbon
Bourbon — Texas, USATastedNose is medium and smells like raw nuts, corn, cherry, and baking spice. There is limited burn, but still some tingling on the palate with an immediate presence of cinnamon, as in Red Hots Cinnamon candy. The mouthfeel is only lightly creamy and seems quite young. After drinking and resting the flavors fade from the palate and I taste hints of fruit juice.

Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedSpicy and sweet. Buttery nose with sugar that turns to fruit juice. Sweet heat with a juicy smooth finish.
Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedNose of brown sugar, vanilla and corn. Spice, pepper and cinnamon on the tongue. Mild finish. Decent, nothing outstanding.
