Heaven's Door Double Barrel Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed December 4, 2022Okay, I’m digging this! Loads of banana runts candy and juicy fruit bubble gum up front. Getting some walnuts and cashews on the mid-plate along with oak char on the finish. A good honest dram that is very well balanced. More sweet than spicy! -
I’m not a huge Irish Whiskey fan, but this bottle is so good. The front of the palate reminds of biting into a fig newton cookie. love the mid-plate which is full of stone fruits and sweetness: plums, figs, honey, and hints of citrus. The sherry and oak presence are found in the finish as well as some hints of ethanol.

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2021-04 "Noe Strangers Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 2, 2022This specific variant of Booker’s gave me those classic beam notes of peanuts, deep oak, leather, tobacco, and a deep burn. The tannins in the bottle are very present. If you love heavy oak then this is the bottle for you. The finish is a tad bit astringent, but it does linger for quite some time. -
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Strength Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed November 9, 2022 (edited December 7, 2023)The first two sips will absolutely knock your socks off… the proof commands your attention! Sip 3-5 (and so on) the whiskey becomes dangerously rich and silky! The front of the palate is brown sugar burnt french toast. Mid-palate presents smashed bananas, viscous vanilla, and hints of campfire wood! The finish is super full featuring combinations of all the flavors above but also hugs you with a deep barrel/barn wood presence! The finish is LONG a beautiful! For me it isn’t astringent nor is it overly ethanol based! -

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2022-01 "Ronnie's Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed October 26, 2022 (edited March 27, 2023)Absolutely beautiful!! The viscosity is amazing! The flavors are rich and full! The oak char is soft and so approachable. I’m getting lots of molasses, corn syrup, and some leather. Red Velvet cake batter like sweetness and organic vanilla extract! The oak finish lingers for sure!! Excellent dram! *Very complex; you can vary between multiple flavor profiles*
