Tastes

Nose: Heavy cornbread, sweet and wheaty. Palate: More sweet grains, some mild honey Finish: Gets sweeter as it lingers, but it is not long. This is a very interesting whiskey. It was sweet on first taste, but has gotten more wheaty as its gone by. It would definitely go well with a meal.

Nose: Very sweet. No peat or complexity. Palate: The sweetness holds, light peat, but mostly alcohol. Finish: Some ethanol burn, a slight lingering peat. I got this on clearance, so not a bad price for that, but overall a very cheap and mixing whiskey

Nose: Oak, slight smoke, vanilla Palate: Very vanilla heavy, some Honey Finish: Some peat on the end, nothing major. Overall, a very middle of the line whiskey. Not bad, but not as peaty as I would've liked.

Nose: Sherry, toffee, rich and sweet Palate: More toffee, light alcohol sting Finish: Mild peat, some smoke, but still very sweet.

Nose: Creamy, nutty, and grassy. Similar to grappa. Palate: Very ethanol heavy, grain and bread taste. Finish: Grassy umami finish A VERY interesting whiskey. Probably not for me, but it has value. Would taste well mixed.

Nose: Mild ethanol, but sweet, honeyed, caramely Palate: Instant ethanol burn and a strange rye like spice note. Finish: Lingers shortly, with a light and sweet finish. Overall pretty decent for the price. That strange peppery note is still very unexpected, but not unwelcome. I imagine this works well with ginger beer.

Quite light and sweet. Like jack Daniels with some, and I mean some, flavor.

Bought on a whim since the idea of whiskey from Iowa excited me. Did not realize the slipnot connection, that turns me away tbh. The nose is very sweet. Reminds me of Bushmills. Color is light and pale. Initial taste is very sweet and very light. I pick up notes of citrus and honey. Taste doesn't linger long, and fades into a very strange coffee note. Overall a very easy sipping whiskey, very sweet. Comparable to an Irish whiskey, and ultimately, not worth the price.

Nose: Very sweet and pleasant, almost cherry like Palate: Delivers on the cherry smell with a sweet and fruity taste. Mild burn Finish: Cherry evolves into vanilla and oak. Light spice comes out Ultimately, a very pleasant and easy drinking rye whiskey. Fruity, sweet, and dangerously sippable. I am quite pleased.
