Villa One Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed July 1, 2022 (edited February 11, 2023)Nose: Heavy vanilla and caramel, like Tuaca Palate: More sweetness, little to no agave Finish: Surprising alcohol burn to finish it off. Some grassy notes, strangely enough. Overall this is very sweet, and very unrefined tequila, and very additive heavy at that. It is unsurprising for a celebrity tequila. I did not know it was a celebrity tequila, but I purchased it on clearance, and would not pay more than I bought for it (even that was expensive) -
Nose: Very similar to regular Bombay. Heavy juniper, with some minor ethanol. Palate: Again, not much has changed. The usual pine flavors, and some citrusy tartness. Finish: This is where the gin deviates. The peppercorn leaves a spicy and savory taste that lingers after the gin is gone. Overall, this is very similar to Bombay Sapphire, one of my favorite gins, and definitely a solid choice. The lemongrass has little effect and the peppercorn only shows up on the finish. Definitely worth a try, and not a bad gin, just not very different from the original.

Nose: Vanilla, some cooked agave, and baking spices Palate: Very sweet initially. Some spice, little oak. Finish: This is where the oak kicks in. Long, and sweet, with vanilla from the cooked agave. This is a very good sipping tequila. Definitely worth the money. I'll have to try it in a cocktail as well.

Nose: Simple, light honey and some pear. Palate: Very light. Some honey, some oaky taste, mostly little. Finish: Borders on watery. Very little lingering, but very smooth to drink. However, a small note of smoke came out at the end to keep things interesting. There is very little going on here. This is very one note, and not very complex. However, that final smokey note kept the whiskey relevant for me. This would make a perfect base for cocktails, and is suprisingly good for sitting and sipping lazily.

Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 20, 2022 (edited April 1, 2022)Nose: Huge sherry bomb upfront, followed by some sweet cinnamon notes. I can tell this will be a sweet whiskey. Palate: Sherry, heavy raisin notes right up front. Finish: Does not linger long, some mild burn in the back of the throat. Overall, a very sweet whiskey. For the price, this is definitely a good alternative to macallan 12, if you are a regular macallan drinker. -
Nose: Very similar to the original Jameson's. Some earthy notes, almost tequila-esque Palate: Very similar to Jameson's but darker Finish: Definitely stout like: roasted malt and chocolate come in heavy. I got in on a good sale for the holiday, and I enjoyed it at that price. At regular price, this isn't interesting or different enough
