Nose: oak, buttered popcorn Palate: popcorn front and center, a bit sweet (probably again due to the corn), and a spicy finish This is a pretty decent bourbon. Sweet and spicy with a smooth finish. I'm not over the moon with it but I'd give it a solid B- which is certainly nightly sipping territory.

Nose: incredibly rich aroma; oak and vanilla, you can tell it's going to be quite sweet on the tongue Palate: as expected, incredibly full and rich. Dried fruits and a tad of spice add to the fullness of the flavors. I enjoyed the pour but it would not "hook me" into a Scotch addiction as it has for many. Surprisingly I believe this is my first taste of Macallan well into a decade of being a Scotch consumer. I look forward to trying their other vintages.10.0 USD per PourEmbassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Near the Galleria

Oak, caramel, and a light peat. A touch oily on the palate with hints of allspice. Buttery and rich. Extravagant and left you excitedly seeking the next sip. Wonderful overall. I absolutely loved this Scotch. One of the best I've tried in recent memory and thoroughly enjoy that it isn't unGodly expensive. I plan on purchasing a bottle for myself as soon as I can find it.

I purchased this bottle at the distillery in Dufftown prior to its availability in the US. This is my second or third pour from the bottle since the purchase in May 2017, which by no means is any reflection of my take on the dram. The whisky has a wonderfully classic nose of caramel and oak. It leaves an expectation of sweetness. The first taste is much hotter than I anticipated but is calmed upon a second take. The overall sweetness is certainly present with a warm vanilla and hint of fruit - perhaps figs and pear. Certainly a well constructed whisky with definite hints of its time spent in multiple barrels.

Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea Voyage 3
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed September 25, 2018 (edited January 2, 2020)NOTE: This was Voyage 16 which is not in the library. Sweet aroma, possibly caramel. Oak and spice. Not incredibly complex but very smooth. I want to say there's a hint of sea salt but it could be my imagination trying to justify the "aged at sea".22.0 USD per PourShort Pump
