Reviewed March 12, 2017 (edited May 2, 2017)Sweet corn, brown sugar and chocolate covered cherries on the nose. The palate is silky smooth with rich, sweet notes of malted milk chocolate, vanilla creme, amaretto, sweet tobacco leaf and rye spice balance. The finish has some heat and is medium in length with gourmand baking spice and dark pitted fruit. Drink it neat for a rich full body experience, or with a drop of water for a fruitier sip. -
Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon

Reviewed March 12, 2017 (edited April 24, 2018)Hot cinnamon and lots of woodsy incense and oak along with floral notes fill the nose. On the palate, tart fruit, toffee, honey and baking spice dominate when neat - a drop of water unveils hazelnut and leather. The finish is smooth and has length, echoing rye notes of caramel and woodsy overtones. -
Knob Creek Small Batch Bourbon (NAS)

Reviewed March 2, 2017 (edited May 19, 2017)Nose balanaces sweet and spicy with dense notes of maple, sweet corn, oak, brown sugar and toasted marshmallow. The palate is huge and hot (100 proof) and brings notes of toffee, peanut shells, oak, burnt orange, and caramel. The finish trails off early but echoes tasty caramel. -
Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels

Reviewed February 25, 2017 (edited October 3, 2017)Candied nuts dominate the nose with vanilla and maple highlights. The palate is sweet, woodsy, and brambly with raisin, cedar, hazelnut and hints of eucalyptus. The finish is somewhat fleeting but resolves hot with notes of tar, tobacco and butterscotch.
