Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 12, 2021 (edited June 21, 2022)Smooth and sweet, with a bit of Rye spiciness. At $34.99 for a 1.75 liter, this is a very affordable and easy drinking pour.34.99 USD per Bottle -
This was a bit of a surprise. Poured into a 50 ml Caballito, there is a definite sweetness on the nose that carries over to the palate. This is a very smooth, if somewhat different, sipping tequila. One reviewer referred to Teremana as “tequila for bourbon drinkers”. I tend to agree that a pure tequila fan may not like this juice. Though I found it pleasant enough, I don’t think it will become my go to tequila.17.95 USD per Bottle

Old Taylor Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 24, 2021 (edited September 1, 2022)Do not let the low price, $18.99 for a 1.75L plastic bottle, put you off. This is a sweet, smooth sipping bourbon; no mixer need. It pours a little light, is pleasant on the nose and easy on the palate. I am a big fan of Benchmark, but this a better dram and cheaper. It is, even though the Benchmark has gotten somewhat hard to obtain, more scarce than Buffalo Trace’s other bottom shelf iterations. -

Hornitos Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed December 29, 2020 (edited August 25, 2022)Easy sipping tequila. Perfect ending to a Taco Tuesday meal.22.99 USD per Bottle -
Smooth, warm, dark fruit with a subtle 94 Proof burn. Not sure why they labeled this a “bourbon”. It doesn’t meet the parameters set for bourbon. What it is, is a very drinkable Beam/Suntory fusion whiskey with a great bang for the buck. This one could, easily, become a regular resident on my “Spirit Shelf”34.99 USD per Bottle
