Nose of old wooden box that used to hold mint Palate of creamy barrel char with the back ending in cinnamon Finish is medium ending in lemon peel and spice.

Nose has initial hit of alcohol followed by vanilla and caramel Palate of citrus and spice Finish has spicy char medium in length

Nose of light green apple and a bit of tobacco Palate of sweet vanilla cream with corn notes Finish of medium length of cinnamon and barrel char A pleasant enough pour of bourbon that stays within the box.

Nose of chocolate and leather with a bit lightly toasted white bread Palate of vanilla bean and chocolate a bit tannic at the back of the palate Finish is medium cinnamon spice and oak

Nose of orange peel, red apple and a bit of black current Palate of light caramel and vanilla nougat sweetness Finish is pretty long and has a bit oak spice with a warm hug Nice pour, well balanced bourbon

Nose of tobacco and raisins Palate of dark fig and grilled pears Finish is dark and rich tobacco and clove

Nose of sweet raisins and fig Palate follows the nose of rich fig and prune Finish short/medium length with a bit of clove Rich and complex for a 23 year old whiskey at this pice

Nose of honeysuckle with a light floral note Palate of honey and a bit of vanilla, an oily mouthfeel for an 80 proof whisky Finish has a bit of oak and light clove. Beautiful representation of a classic Speyside Scotch.

Nose has an almost wood/leather impact with earth and mulch under tones Palate in the front is spice and a flat mid palate of dried leather and maybe dark fruit Finish short with spice and barrel notes Again very different than the 10 year original but the dark tones of the Port don't seem to be influencing the spirt in a way that matches my palate.
