A gem by Laphroaig. It carries the herbal smokiness of the original but the additional sweet notes from the sherry oak make is a perfect complement to the smoke. Very smooth and a treat for Islay enthusiasts.

This one’s a beast - true to its name. Probably the most intense of islay malts I’ve had. An explosive flavor profile dominated by intense peat with some pepper, molasses, cocoa. Definitely not for the faint of heart. I couldn’t handle more than a couple of sips neat. A splash of water or a some ice definitely makes it more drinkable.

Light and easy drinking for a casual afternoon. A touch of smoke

Extremely smooth but lacking complexity and a distinct character. Moderately sweet and mild smoke. I like it but don’t understand the hefty price tag

Unique color. Deep brown with a tinge of red. Very much like copper. Velvety, sweet with the high abv prominent. Definitely flaunts us a port like character. Very smooth and sophisticated.

Very little smoke. Notes of dark fruit. Easy drinking.
