Sweet cinnamon, clove, and anise nose. Sweet caramel on the palate but yeasty bread is there as well with just a touch of fruitiness. Gets peppery and finishes with a lingering sweet cinnamon roll. Clove and licorice are there as well. This is a very good rye and a permanent fixture in my bar. This rye is unparalleled at this price. Hey Old Forester, I know you haven't joined the barrel finish trend, but this rye finished in a toasted barrel could be over the top.23.0 USD per Bottle

Michter's US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey
Other Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 15, 2019 (edited June 22, 2019)Mild, pleasant sweet and fruity nose. Flavors are heavy on the back of the tongue. Fall spices and caramel, but somewhat bitter like orange peel in the middle. This is tamed by water or ice and improves it greatly. There is a tinge of pepper toward the end and maybe chocolate. -
Nose is sweet and floral, slightly reminiscent of window cleaner but not in a bad way. Sugary vanilla and black pepper on the tongue with a hint of over ripe pit fruit and cinnamon. Nice oily feel when drank neat. Fairly simple flavor pallette. Shorter finish. Makes a great Old Fashioned.18.0 USD per Bottle
