Man wish I would have read other review prior to getting this one and would have picked up Elijah Craig barrel proof instead after learning backstory on Templeton. Nevertheless, owner of store kinda sold me saying it was rare and had just got case in so brought me a bottle out of the back. It’s a very good rye and I’m not a huge rye fan. Wouldn’t put ahead of Pikesville but definitely worth trying. Get all the notes up front of citrus, spice, cloves. Very unique nose, something in there I can’t “put my nose on”. On the pallet get cloves, burnt/ candied orange peels and a nice spicy big red,allspice, peppery finish.

Something about this one I can’t get into. Has almost a medicinal taste? For the $$ very disappointed, way too many ryes half the price that are waaaay better.

Buttery, just let it sit on your tongue for few and you’ll know what I’m taking about. Soooo good, a bit of butterscotch and caramel/ vanilla with a pleasant smooth spicy finish. Wow my favorite so far....Very smooth and just pleasant to drink, like a Spice cake of some sort (but better). Always loved the regular small batch, this takes it to a whole different level🤙🏼

Nothing special here , but yes a good smooth bourbon. Sweet, caramel, vanilla and then gone nothing complex or lingering. At $26 yes a great deal and will buy again but not like I said.nothing special.

Damn good bourbon. Smells great on the nose, get a lot of orange, apple, holiday/cake and spices and same through the first sip. Good smooth finish especially for the proof. Everything you want and need from a quality bourbon. Wish price point came in a bit lower (under $50) otherwise this would be top 3 for me. If you haven’t tried definitely go get a bottle and enjoy.🤙🏼

Just a damn good bourbon regardless and especially at the price. Basically a 10 year old buffalo trace at the same price point but aged longer and readily available. Blends complex flavors of vanilla, caramel, tobacco (Pipe like it smells) with a subtle spiced finish. Go get some!!!

I get bit of banana on the nose of this one, some floral, vanilla, and caramel also. A lot going on the palate, get same flavored but very smooth with a velvety finish. Everyone’s palate is different, this is one of my favs. Have done several blinds w this along side several other highly rated bourbons and it wins every-time. 🤙🏼

Delicious this is my 3rd time into a new bottle and taste better every-time. Very smooth and sweet. Fruity on the nose, Lots of Caramel and Vanilla with a mild pepper finish. Very drinkable, no burn. Bottle gets better as it goes.

Read the story of how this is made. Very unique, a combo of this and aging in Barrell might be a sweet spot? I hate scotch but I love this one even though it has a hint of scotch to it. Otherwise buttery sweet with caramel and vanilla. A smooth drinker, love it. Some of the reviews I see don’t make any sense. Just because it isn’t aged like other bourbons, it’s new, unique and delicious. And yes I’m a NC native so prob a bit biased.
