I like my gin like I like my prose: flowery. This is a great dry gin but... it’s not exactly in my wheelhouse. If you like a less floral/citrus gin... this is your bag, baby.

It is... very juniper. Drink it straight first rather than in a gin and tonic.

Really smooth and less floral forward than many other gins. I almost feel like there is some bergamot in there?

It’s not bad... it’s just very neutral and has very little flavor to it. It’s not as harsh as other jonge jenevers i have had. Maybe I’ve burnt off too many taste buds with 120 proof bourbon.

I had jenever for the first time at a tiny seafood restaurant in Amsterdam called Brut De Mer. Go there if you can. The bartender let me sample jonge and oude. If you like anejo or reposado tequila, you’ll prefer oude jenever. This one tastes like a nice, woody gin filtered through a stroopwafel. Lekker!

Very nice - juniper forward, sort of sweet in a good way. It’s a very straight forward gin, but in a good way. The bottle I bought is much less gay looking than the one in the picture. I am gay, so I am allowed to say that.
