Tastes

Nose: dominant oceanic notes with brine followed by a mild peat and a hint of orange peel. Palate: good creamy texture with with notes of bitter fruit that morphs into pepper spice. Finish: the spice lingers with the creamy texture, leaving notes of mint.

Nose: sweet banana bread, a bit of toffee, Palate: lightly aggressive texture, toffee, some apple or other fruity bitterness. Finish: a long lingering of light spices. My first Japanese whiskey and I'm definitely interested in trying more.

Nose: aggressive. Dark fruits, fig, Palate: sharp texture. Brine, a bit of iodine, some cinnamon spice. Finish: warm round finish with the cinnamon lingering and port wine notes.

Nose: plesent on the nose. Mild oak notes, caramel sweetness and fig. Palate: round creamy texture. Orange notes and a bit of dark chocolate with earthy malt. Simple but plesent. Finish: creamy texture remains in the mouth. The earthy notes turn slightly herbal.

Nose: initial eraser rubber, moss and fresh wood. Then a bit of orange or apricot and a faint fruity sweetness like raisin. Palate: very aggressive in the mouth. Black pepper, a bit of sulfur. Finish: a smooth light body in contrast to the aggressive start. Notes of cinnamon, and still black pepper. Edit: after coming back to it again I get much less rubber and more wood in the nose. Even some sirup sweetness. The palate has a twist of medicinal herbs.

Nose: corn syrup sweetness, maybe some vanilla, a bit of oak. Palate: very aggressive in how it bites into the mouth, notes of citrus, heavy black pepper spice. Finish: slight butter and nutty

Nose: plenty of oak, caramel, some cherry. Palate: a mild body that flows into the mouth with no bite. Notes of caramel, slight herbal. Finish: some bite and notes of brine. Overall very delightful and a good dram. After sitting 30min it has acquired a nose and palate of mango and abricot.

Nose: very bold spice with some apricot and a bit of fruity sweetness, maybe banana. Palate: pronounce herbal medicinal-like notes with a mild sweet liqueur finish. Sharp texture that bites the mouth and fills it. My first Rye and I like it. It's an interesting twist from the usual Scotch whisky.

Nose: peaty smoke with salty seaweed. Slight hint of apples. Palatr: a strong burning smoke note, followed by charred wood. Body: rather oily, suiting the charred wood notes.

Nose: floral sweetness. Palate: honey or vanilla sweet with a fading note of smoky warmth at the end. Body: medium oily.
