Good but not exceptional, for sub $50 its hard to beat if you looking for a cask strength wheater. I think it works best as a food pairing, unlike other whiskeys that get drowned in competing flavors this has a very strong vanilla toffee note that breaks through whatever your eating. Not what im reaching for if i want a pour to enjoy by itself but if its my only option i don’t feel disappointed either. 7 year 5 month47.0 USD per Bottle

Lancaster Craft Spirits Straight Bourbon Finished in Oatmeal Brown Ale Barrels
Bourbon — Lancaster, PA, USA
Reviewed May 16, 2026Not like I expected, was bracing myself for a beer forward experience but this one seems to just add a creamy texture and round off the corners to an otherwise good wheated bourbon. Tasted it at the distillery and bought a bottle55.0 USD per BottleLancaster Craft Spirits Distillery -
Nose: a bit nail polish remover, Arizona green tea, caramel Taste: sweet, toffee, little bit of a ricola cough drop but in a good way, same cold green tea note as the nose Finish: not long but has a birch beer or cream soda note thats nice Trust me, add a small dash if water and this opens up into something more sweet and sipable28.0 USD per Bottle

Im not sure what the hypes abouts, its fine. Its a sweet, up home plate bourbon that has a candy note, kinda like a fun dip turned all the way down. Would i buy it again for msrp, yep. Im I hunting it out, nope. I can think of alot of other bottles within $10 that are better and far easier to get ahold of.30.0 USD per Bottle

A. Overholt Straight Rye Whiskey
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 19, 2026 (edited April 20, 2026)Smells like honey covered bread with maybe a bit of Apple butter. Taste is more if the same, very sweet up front that gives way to some warm baking spices that remind me of a shoofly pie. Great dessert pour36.0 USD per Bottle -
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed April 19, 2026 (edited May 2, 2026)From a airplane bottle poured into a glen. Aroma is walnut and banana bread. Palette is soft and round with a light caramel and the suggestion of oak. Hints of banana sneak through after a few sips. Probably would not buy a full bottle but it’s interesting enough to try it at cask strength
