Tastes

For an American single malt, I give it a 4.5, excellent! On the world stage, Swift shows they hold promise to become a world class single malt producer. The whisky is immature, and I eagerly await expressions that are about 10 years old, I am sure I'll give it a 4.5. Keep up the good work!

So this is Pappy! It's a smooth, high alcohol taste. I do think it stands on its own uniquely out of Bourbons I have had. I am not going to try to put flavor notes. Do I think it's worth list price, yes! 10x list, move along.

This is what I think of Scotch circa 1980. It's good enough to drink if the best available. Recommend trying.

Nose is sweet, floral. Very light Sherry. Initial is light honey, with palate of alcohol and a wood (not oak?) mixed with a tart taste. Finish is back to light honey and alcohol. When I put alcohol twice in a description it's a pass. Not sure how this ranks so high. :)

The quality of the product is 5 star. However it is Young and has a bite to it. I little water helps. Nose of a bright, floral brown sugar smell. Taste of Carmel notes. Looking forward to a. 5 or 10 year.
