Nikka Miyagikyo Aromatic Yeast (2022 Release)
Single Malt — Japan
Reviewed September 26, 2023 (edited October 2, 2023)Some of the best finishing aroma I’ve ever had, it’s sweet, floral, and milky. Definitely prefer this over the Yoichi aromatic yeast.250.0 USD per Bottle -
SPRINGBANK BANK-12 YO CASK STRENGTH #BATCH 21 - 56.1
Single Malt — CAMPBELTOWN, Scotland
Reviewed January 12, 2022 (edited January 14, 2024)One of my favorite Springbank 12! The pallet is complex and the flavors are cohesive with good amount of dark fruit and Campbeltown funk. -
Octomore 10 Year Fourth Edition (2020 Release)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed November 13, 2020Rich and buttery smooth, so smooth that if you tell me it is a 25 years old whiskey, I wouldn’t say you’re lying. Honestly not as peaty as I expected, and the taste is sweet and savory, reminds me of smoked brisket. The character of the peat is sort of like a combination of laphroaig and ardbeg. Overall a super enjoyable whiskey! -
Balvenie Single Barrel 15 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 29, 2019 (edited March 16, 2020)It’s not the sherry bomb that I expected. There’s not a lot of dark fruit here, but rather light, fruity, and somehow reminds me of honey and jasmine tea. Still, an enjoyable dram. -
anCnoc 22 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 12, 2019 (edited January 11, 2021)It’s sweet and spicy. Sort of like a combination of Clynelish and Dalmore, with their fig, dark fruit, and oaky characters, then adds a dash of chili oil to it. I would say it’s quite an uniquely enjoyable whiskey. -
Royal Lochnagar 12 Year (Game of Thrones-House Baratheon)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 15, 2018 (edited January 13, 2019)Light bodied, fruity, smooth, and clean. Got light fig and date flavor to it. Royal Lochnagar’s juice can be found in the higher end Johnnie walkers, so drinking this would definitely remind you some of the characters of JWs. Overall a pleasant daily dram. -
Unlike the Hibiki Harmony, this whiskey has a lot more depth into it. The sweetness and creaminess from the grain whiskey is distinctive, yet not overpowering. The taste of dry fruits is absolutely delicious, and a hint of Miyagikyo add to the complexity to the whiskey. Overall a great value whiskey, and I would pick this over the regular Hibiki Harmony.49.0 USD per Bottle

Macallan Edition No. 2
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 18, 2018 (edited December 20, 2019)My favorite dram in the edition line up so far. It’s sweat on the palate and mouth watering. It’s not as smooth as some of the other Macallan, but it got some deep dried fruits flavor to it. Compare to the Edition No.4, the finish is sweeter and more enjoyable. Overall, a very good dram imho!1.0 USD per Bottle -
