Springbank 12 Year Cask Strength
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed November 16, 2016 (edited August 14, 2017)Absolutely delicious. If you like brine and savory this is for you. The Peat level in this whisky is very light, no where near let's say ARDBEG UIGEADAIL. It tastes like the glenfarclas 105 but really briney, savory, and slightly peaty -
A very interesting blend, not bad at all definitely worth $30 that I payed. Like the label says, it's definitely comprised of "mature grain and single malt scotch", I don't taste any harshness like in the bottom end blends. It tasted like Johnnie walker black, without the fruitiness and with more peat and smoke. It taste like a more refined version of black grouse. It's quite enjoyable Definitely worth a try!

Dalwhinnie 15 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed November 2, 2016 (edited August 14, 2017)Honey and Heather are the main traits. Although it's one dimensional, it's not really. It's quite rich, can taste bourbon maturation and a bit of sherry. Oakiness is also apparent, taste like the GLENLIVET 15 but a bit richer -
Talisker Dark Storm
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed August 14, 2016 (edited August 14, 2017)Absolutely delicious. Tastes exactly like the label says "rich, intense, smokey" it has the same richness as a olorosso matured whisky but it's different instead of a intense chocolate fruit sherry flavour your getting like more chocolate campfire amber ash taste if that makes sense. Great product, if you love the 10 you'll love this. 10 is more briney and fruity, this is more dark and smokey. -
I had the El Dorado 15 so I decided to give the 12 a try because it was on sale for $25 CAD. Wow absolutely amazing, nose is pungent with dried fruits, port wine, caramel and brown sugar. The body isn't as say complex as the 15 but it's more powerful this rum is SO SWEET I've never had a liquor that's been so sweet. Great value and quality! 5 stars

Tomatin 12 Year Bourbon & Sherry Casks
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 30, 2016 (edited August 14, 2017)For $30 this is very cheap single malt. Not too bad, doesn't have the fresh fruit bourbon taste as one would expect from its maturation in ex bourbon barrels however the sherry is quite notable. Is it good? Meh, is it bad? Not at all. This whisky is very medicore that is all -
Dewar's 12 Year The Ancestor (Discontinued)
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed July 27, 2016 (edited September 16, 2016)The nose is really good, fruity, buttery, and a whisp of smoke. On the Palate is same flavours as the nose but also is really rich for a blend and has a nice sherry taste to it. But this is where it shows that this is a blend, can taste some grain but not in a gross way. Its matured quite well with only a slight tint of bitternes. Its also quite smooth. It's a bit spicey but the good thing is its not extremely grainy which is nice. Spicey fruity, a tiny bit of smoke finish, and it's quite short. For the price I would say this is on par with johnnie walker black label. Tastes like the white label but a bit smoother and less rough around the edges and more intense. 3.5 out of 5, I paid $35 CAD for this any wouldn't pay over $40
