Peat has a slight barbeque tang to it, smoky campfire with an extra zest. Also kind of sparkling, which is an interesting combo with smoke . Another solid ardbeg expression to add to the list. Very enjoyable.
Had this open for a couple of months now and it has greatly improved since the neck pour. Peat and smoke on tbe nose. Rich leather, oaky tannins, and smoke on the palate. Medium finish.
Blind tasting
Nose: peat, sweet. Lagavulin reminiscent
Taste: sweet, peaty, hint of medicinal aftertaste
