Nose: Baking spices, Apricots, Red Plums, Sweet and inviting.
Palate: Coats tongue well with spicy rye beginning that develops into a sweet wine/apricot flavor. Cinnamon, clove, allspice.
Finish: Begins with rye spice and pepper notes going down, but leaves a nice spiced/mulled wine with hints of apricot and plum ending on a sweet fruit note that lingers. Medium to long finish.
Nose: Rye, vanilla, and fruit
Palate: A very rich cinnamon spice, followed by vanilla ice cream, and stone fruits
Finish: Herbal mint with a nice medium-long finish that goes up into the top of my mouth into my nostrils
A fantastic rye that really benefits from the ruby port finish as it gains some fruity, vanilla notes that makes this a very approachable dram even for those like me that typically don't drink rye. Indeed it's perfect for a cold winter night indoors.

I did a blind tasting between this act and my bottle of act 7. Act 7 was more subtle and subdued when it came to the port finish, it came in strongest during the tale end of the finish.
Act 9, the nose had a more pronounced wine scent, ethanol and blackberries. The palate starts with a nice sweet mouthfeel and vanilla. The finish because relatively quickly with a lot of cinnamon spice and oak.
Between 7 and 9, I prefer 9 mostly because it had more depth to it with more flavors and different mouthfeel than act 7. Both very nice in their own ways.
