On the nose is fresh sweet hay and corn along with smarties and peanut that seem to blend together like a payday candy bar with a touch of fruitiness. The palate is not as complex - fruity, corny oak on first sip. Subsequent sips devolve into a salty caramel and corny hay that finish with a clean dry oak.
Adding a touch of water increases the viscosity while muting the flavors to a vague sweet corny hay.
While it is interesting and different it doesn’t have the classic Larceny flavor profile I enjoy with the rich dark brown sugars and dark fruit.
This is a no for my palate but still a quality bourbon.
On the nose i get honey, apple, and soft undertones of oats. Burn is consistent with a barrel proof and not overpowering. Linger is perfect in my opinion neat is great. First sip offers woody, almonds, and a smokey/char finish. Ice cube doesnt change the flavor profile but shortens (not softens) the burn. I really like this one and recommend getting one.

Nose - hints of grass, opens up to fresh creme brûlée, cinnamon rolls, caramel, sheet cake, vanilla icing
Body - full bodied, viscous, chewy rich, sweet creamy warm vanilla, nutty caramel
Finish - long and hot
Well done. Outstanding balanced rich creamy wheated bourbon. One of the finest batches of LBP to date
