Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt

What a generic tasting whiskey... Typical of most blended I tried. Very flat profile with smoke, vanilla, floral and other profile all taking a backseat.

Must add water. Far too much alcohol burn without it, which doesn’t allow much profile to come out. Once a little water is added, a smooth and light camp fire taste came up. Maraschino cherries, and peanut brittle.

Sweet first tasting note. I taste an orange and honey taste. It’s a little peatey but not to much. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
