Sazerac Rye

Nose - cherry and spice, herbal almost medicinal notes, vanilla Taste - cherry followed by rye spice and caramel toffee sweetness, very easy sipping, tried a manhattan and old fashioned and both were fantastic but this is worthy neat. Finish- mints and grasses layer of sweet carmalized sugar with slight wood notes and tannins giving a hint to add needed layers

Mint, licorice, orange, and honey provide a nice nose, followed by mint, honey, and caramel on the palate, though I found it difficult to dig for individual flavors through the rye spice. Medium-Long finish.

A very refined rye whiskey. Well worth it's price, I would even call it a bargain. It has all the interesting aspects of the rye but it's very smooth and well rounded. A mix of rye and bourbon. Very sweet, spicy, dark red fruits. Very tasty and enjoyable.

Smoky, Char, Spice, Cherry, Toast,

Blends very well with a splash of cranberry.
