Westward American Single Malt

Someone has completely confused this poor beer. It really thinks it’s supposed to be an ale, but it isn’t sure how to go back to the way things were in the before times. This gets a “try before buy” from me.

Dark and complex aroma. Maybe chocolate? The flavor is dark and chocolatey, pretty rich. There might be wood buried in there too. The tail spreads, and finishes with coffee beans. Reminds me so much of chocolate covered espresso beans. Absolutely wonderful.

Dried fruit that reminded me of fruitcake, spicy, no thanks

Not bad, got some heat to it straight up.

One of my few experiences with single malt. Sweet, honey nut cereal. Ground espresso mid-pallet, yeasty med-long finish.
