Wild Turkey Longbranch

Reminds me of Gentleman Jack with a bit more punch. I really enjoy it

Sup, Matthew McConaughey. Currently finishing this sexy looking bottle in my new Lincoln. Nose has sour wood, sugar, cherry, lemon. Body has baking spices, oak, syrup. Finish is gentle, with black pepper and licorice. This drinks like water. I don’t love the profile, and the best part for me is the nose. The body feels empty and is hard to enjoy. This will likely turn into a mixer or that whiskey you put nearby for that periodic “one final drink when it doesn’t matter,” and I likely won’t ever buy again.

On the nose it's turkey, lots of vanilla and corn with a hint of char, but very pleasant aromas. On the palate it's very smooth and sweet, almost like a vanilla syrup, yet not as complex as the nose would lead you to believe. As it finishes there is a nice building warmth as the char comes through. Overall a nice pour, would love to see this as a barrel proof offering.

Mild burn, slight ethanol smell up front. Vanilla and pecan finish
