Appearance: Light, like green tea. Pretty weak legs
Nose: Sweet rye, a bit of oak, honey, green apple
Palate: No surprises. Crisp and bright, with a great blend of sweet and spice. Syrupy and coats the mouth well
Finish: This was a surprise. Long, lingering finish. The sweetness gives way to peppery rye spice and stick around for ages and would make you think its more than 90 proof. Delightful.
Notes: This was a great surprise. I was suckered in by their new branding and commercials on Spotify. I admit it. But finding 100% Colorado sourced ingredients is not common in CO's craft distilling scene, so I figured why not? I'm still relatively new to ryes, but I will be buying this again. If I had one minor gripe, it's the screw top. It's heavy and well made, but I just think a cork would be nicer.
