Nose- rich berries abound along with vanilla and butterscotch. It then turns to a rich milk chocolate.
Palate- Chewy chocolate nougat with a raspberry jam center. Deliciously rich and decadent with a smooth, buttery coating. There is a puff of smoke and some beautiful tasting salt water taffy.
Finish- there is a bit of heat through the chocolate and jam that gives way to a slight bit of clove. The finish goes on in waves.
Overall- I am super impressed by this bottle. Some may find this a bit on the sweet side of things, but for me it is just the right amount of a sweet indulgence. It's a rich, chocolate and jelly in the middle type adult liquid candy. Of all the "limited editions," and "finished whiskies" that are out there I found this to be the most thoughtfully done.
