It has an aromatic birth with notes of grain, fruit, wood & spice; while a rich life adds notes of wheat, apple, sherry, caramel & vanilla; that led to a hot & candied death of medium length with notes of oak & toffee. It is a blend consisting of 95% of their 5-year-old Rum with 5% of their 10-year-old Rum that were aged in ex-Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels before being finished in a Sherry casks for an additional 4 to 10 months before being bottled at 46% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of molasses, wood, fruits, flowers, nuts & spices; while a full & complex life adds notes of pineapple, cherry, blackberry jam, burnt caramel & fresh marzipan; that led to a long & dry death with notes of orange zest, oak, vanilla, roasted almonds & smoke. It has an aromatic birth with notes of molasses, wood, fruits, flowers, nuts & spices; while a full & complex life adds notes of orange rind, cinnamon, burnt caramel & fresh marzipan; that led to a long & dry death with notes of oak, honey, chocolate & roasted almonds. Reviewed July 7, 2024 (edited July 12, 2024)An intense, elegant, cask strength, Brandy by PM Spirits crafted with a blend of ‘ghost grapes’: Plant de Graisse, Mauzac Blanc, Meslier St Francois, Jurancon Blanc, Mauzac Rose & Clairette de Gascogne that is aged in estate grown oak barrels before being bottled at 52% ABV. Upon opening one was greeted by an almost unbearable aroma of grappa pomace & sourdough starter! It tamed after cellaring for two weeks! It has a wonderous, aromatic birth with notes of stewed orchard fruits, wood, flowers, herbs & spices; while a rich & inviting life adds notes of fruit skins, quince paste, lemon grass, apple blossoms & linden tree blossoms; that led to a long & warm death with notes of oak, wildflower honey & youthful Rhum Agricole.104.97 USD per BottleTotal Wine & More
