Figuring I enjoy the higher rye content of the Four Roses products, I thought I’d dabble into the barely legal rye’s. This was my first rye whiskey and I thought it was just okay so it’s not necessarily the rye I enjoy in my bourbons but rather that Four Roses makes products I really enjoy. Regardless, I’m looking forward to trying some more barely legal rye whiskey. I’m sure there’s some bangers out there. This is good - just fine.

This is my favorite of the three Whiskey Row offerings that I’ve tried. It makes for a great dessert bourbon that’s not just over the top with sweetness. It’s balanced very well - great, well above average.

This was batch 20-02. I want to add I’m a little disappointed with the new bottle. I liked the uniqueness of the old design with how it stood out against the standard Maker’s. Regardless, this is good - just fine.

This was my first bottle of Booker’s. I won’t say it’ll be my last but at $90 before tax, it’s not a cheap date. It’ll be my first and last until I get an itch for another or they release an absolute banger. I’ll enjoy this bottle at the right moments but I don’t feel it’s great enough to get a backup. A great sip - well above average.

I felt this drank warmer than it's proof and it didn't have a standout characteristic. I'm confused on this offering when Beam also has Knob Creek single barrel which has a higher proof and aged longer. This bottle of Baker's was sub-par - not bad, but better exists. This was bottle with serial number 000330454 from warehouse CL-Z aged 8 years, 2 months.

This is very good - a cut above bourbon which I would like to keep a bottle on hand; however, it’s been hyped beyond what it is and the bottles will be few and far between. I happened to be in the right place at the right time to see a single one on the shelf of my local store a couple months ago. It’s not something I’d drive all over town or wait in line for hours to get my hands on. I’ll enjoy this bottle and keep my eyes peeled on my occasional trip to the store. This is very good - a cut above. Everything is balanced well. It’s said that this is a permanent addition to the Elijah Craig lineup so hopefully it becomes common on the shelves. Woodford Double Oaked goes for $52 so this is great competition in the twice-barreled category.

This is good - just fine. Simple, balanced drink. I could see myself getting another bottle in the future but there’s so much to try around that $30 price point. It might be a while.

I find this to be a good drink. I wouldn’t go out of my way to hunt it down, but I’ll snatch it up if I see it in the $30-35 price range. It’d be a great bottle to serve to guest even if they’re not big whiskey drinkers. This is very good - a cut above.

For the price, I’ll enjoy the rest of this bottle but I won’t be in a rush to replace it. I feel like this should run around $35 - not $50+. With the key the bottle comes with and the solera aging method they use, this could make a neat gift. That said, this is good, just fine.
