I really love red wine and port influence on whiskeys so I had to try this after reading the reviews. It is well balanced, and the red wine barrel influence adds a dried fruit sugary oak flavour. It is smooth with a burnt sugar aftertaste really delicious for 39$ and unique I do think it tasted like my pike creek port barrel whiskey before they ruined my life and switched it to rum cask so a new fave for sure wish it was 35$ like pike creek though as there is a lot I like at 40 :)

After a few days in Dublin Irish whiskey typically has given me a buttery note and subtle flavours this is the first one that has big flavour fruit sherry notes but still buttery and oaky and ridiculously smooth note in tasting everyone liked red breast better in blind tasting everyone picked greenspot very interesting guess men like the word breast :) lol

In the same category price as a lot of 12 year old scotches makes this a difficult one to rate there are a lot I would rather own but this is worth tasting as it is unique raisins nutty sweet white dessert wine I guess is the cognac finish very smooth

Cabholl glenmorangie Smooth more citrus 🍊 3.75/5 not complex

Tasted at whiskey fest out of the 12’s I liked this the least but more than the 10 very flavourful but nectar and Quinta are just ridiculously good and unique

Tarlogan Dried fruit smooth light not complex liked tante and duthac more by a bit tasted along with many others so may be compromised

19 year glenmorangie rich smooth dried fruit and citrus liked the 18 more tasted at the distillery from the generous staff after purchasing a few hundred worth of product

Mortlach 18 Christmas cake light a lot of alcohol aftertaste compared to how smooth glenmorangie signet is but what a great comparison tasting at gatwick duty free ended up with glenmorangie tayne similar profile but half the price and one litre if I could ignore the prices I would get this in a heart beat but maybe glenmorangie signet first
