Tastes

Tried this at the distillery they were very generous and Inhad one of the last tasters of winters end but wanted to find a bottle close to that seasonal bottling they suggested this Duthac and it was excellent full bodied really coated and dried fruit and spice love it :)

Sweet smooth vanilla and a little complex maybe cereal or burnt sugar I like from the barrel better and black but this is maybe 3rd fave Nikka

Had one of the last ounces at the distillery while I was sad I couldn’t buy it I am glad to have tasted it! Big thanks to the staff there :) Christmas cake dried fruit oily and sweet and smooth what a delicious combo

I currently own the glenmorangie Duthac aged in pedro ximenez which is delicious but this adds a dimension of Smokey and wooden taste! Lots of depth for the price and smooth with a little burn aftertaste and nice and oily

Tried at the willow pub Scotland :) Butterscotch vanilla with slight smoke delicious taste but almost no finish wish it was like 46% plus but oh well great for the price and has an amazing story

Smells of fruit and brown sugar taste is towards dried fruit and away from citrus but not fully. Very smooth like glenmorangie and very little peat.

Opening the bottle a huge cloud of smoke came out thought maybe a genie came out of there! Very smoke ash gunpowder nose some sweetness. Taste of peat charred oak wood barrels and salt but ends sweet which made it a pleasant experience as I usually don’t like peat. Hard to place the sweet flavour but with a little water it was caramel and a lot smoother

Less Smokey and peaty than laphroig sweet Smokey bacon like smell flavour Smokey peat but sweet dried fruit depth caramel

my first 22/23 year, Smooth for a 50% highland park / mccallan sweet smokeyness smell really coats the glass with full body thick legs golden dark coloir from the barrels and tastes of apricot chocolate and or dried fruit sherry little burn / medicine in the aftertaste but delicious

Smells of sweet smoke, buttery caramel, Light thin body young. Smokey flavour a little peat but sweet citrus notes and cream vanilla and maybe some nuts or cereal probably the best value whiskey for our weak canadian dollar :) almost complex for a younger dram
