I enjoy a whiskey finished in rum casks. It adds sweetness which I enjoy in my whiskey, this was no exception!

Can’t believe how smooth this is. $23, $23!! You can’t beat it for the price. Very pleasant on the palette. Lots of flavor in this one, I think finishing with sherry staves adds to the flavor profile.

Apples and peaches. This was a pretty good scotch. It was very fruity to me. Nice and smooth too. Looking forward to trying other offerings from monkey shoulder!

Sweet vanilla! This was so smooth. I’m glad this was purchased as part of the whiskey club because I think I would have drank way too much all at once and then felt bad about finishing off a $200+ bottle of whiskey so quickly. Highly recommend this whiskey!

Sweet rich and spicy! Love the bite. This is a good bourbon, however I enjoyed their Kentucky Straight Rye a little more. Got a 10 year bottle on order, can’t wait to taste that one!

First sip really burned and I was not fond of the flavor, but as the ice melted I started enjoying this more and more. By the end I wanted more. I guess you can’t trust your first sip!

Not too bad, sweet yet spicy. Enjoyed on ice. Reminded me a little of Coopers Daughter. Had an odd aftertaste that I could not put my finger on, but the aftertaste did not last long. Maybe that’s why I could not put my finger on the note LOL.
