Floral nose with small amount of rye grain. You need to dig deep to get a lot of scents. From the nose you don’t really smell the rum influence. On the palate there is some charred oak and really not a heavy rum influence at all, must not have been finished rum barrels for much time. Short earthy finish. Relatively one dimensional.

Nice oak on the nose and caramel. Oak continues on the palate with dark rich notes of orange and cherries. On the back end vanilla frosting and vanilla extract finish things off. 50% works well for this bourbon and is well balanced without too much heat.

The nose is very earthy, herbal and savory. The palate is burnt corn and Chile peppers. Very spicy for 46%. Towards the end of the sip you taste the wheat slightly soft and dry finish. Quite unique.

The nose is very much the base whiskey which is noticeably Tennessee whiskey from Dickel. Has that mineral scent that is associated with Dickel. A faint whiff of rum scents are there as well. A little hot with oak on the palate. Finish brings out the slightly bitter amaro. Unlike Seagrass, the pear brandy is the least noticeable of the the three barrel finishes.

Nose has dried fruits and oak. The palate continues with those dark cherries and raisin flavors, but I won’t say the sweetness from the finishing barrels is too overpowering. The finish is a bit dry with the cognac cask being more pronounced than anything else.
