Tastes

The nose has pear, peaches and honey suckle. The palate is the best part of the sip, honey and oak dominate. the three different oaks really give it a lot of complexity with the sherry cask being the least dominant in the pour in my opinion. Really really nice scotch.

Boy this is a tough one to sip on. Not much to the nose but a touch of caramel and watered down tangerine. Palate is smooth oaky vanilla and floral peachy notes on the finish. Medium finish which is surprising for a 40 abv whiskey

You can smell the youth on the nose right away. The palate is very smooth which Makes sense since it’s 40 abv and an interesting oak flavor, almost like it was only toasted and not fully charred. Very minimal spice on the finish with tangerine orange to end things off. Curious why they decided on this low abv.

This is a pretty interesting blend of scotch and their own distillate. A lot of chocolate notes and sweetness from the port finish. Not my favorite, but way better than high west’s campfire for sure.

A couple of years ago I had the 6 year bonded 4 grain. I recently bought their four pack of different whiskies and sadly their standard four grain bottling fell well short of what I had in the past. None of the whiskies stood out except the wheated whisky.

Tasted at Whiskey House SD a couple years ago and it was a huge improvement from their standard four grain bottle
