Wild Turkey Master's Keep 17 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 6, 2021 (edited April 14, 2022)Nose: big oak, sweet creamy vanilla and super smokey. Palate: a lot going on, big tannic oak dominant with spice and that creamy vanilla weaving in and out. Finish: oak and vanilla with a hint of orange peel and spice. -
Nose: Pine needles and berries with a big traditional rye note with just a touch of vanilla and a touch of tobacco. Palate: still very pine and berries but pick up some more vanilla and some black tea. Finish: Finish is the most subdued feature with a berry and vanilla go back and forth. This has an unbelievably thick for 90 proof. This has one of the thickest mouthfeels I’m came across. Super complex with some unique flavors.

Nose: more oak than I expected. It’s sugary caramel with some apple to balance it out. Palate: It’s so sweet when it hits your lips. Caramel and Smokey oak. Finish: Sweet caramel all the way. This thing isn’t super complex but if you like a sweet caramel desert bourbon, this is it.20.0 USD per PourHennen's

2016 Bottle: Nose: Lots of sweet smokey oak at first but as it opens cherries, chocolate drizzle, and a touch of spice comes through. Palate: Oak and vanilla on the front, then more of the spice comes through than one might expect from the nose. Finish: Long finish and T first it’s that sweet oak/tea and vanilla goes back and forth but then settles out with a touch overripe cherry note. Pretty complex finish that gives a nice hug for the proof.Advanced Women's Health Spec

Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Rye (2020 Release)
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 15, 2021 (edited June 26, 2021)This was pretty unique IMO Nose: Smoky, crazy tobacco note, and spices. Palate: Sweeter than it smells, brown sugar and spices with a bit of a black tea note. Finish: Sweet brown sugar dominant. You know it’s a rye, but that toasted barrel really sweetens it up.
