Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch C922
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 27, 2022 (edited February 10, 2023)On the nose I was immediately hit by caramel, followed by citrus, red hots, and ethanol. The palate is sweet, with a bit of oak and char, and a building burn. The finish is long and surprisingly oaky. Overall this is one of my least favorite batches of ECBP, I feel the oak and citrus overpower the whole pour.69.0 USD per Bottle -
Horse Soldier Reserve Barrel Strength Bourbon
Bourbon — Ohio, USA
Reviewed December 27, 2022 (edited December 28, 2022)On the nose there's a ton of ethanol. If you can get past that it's earthy, with corn and grain. On the palate I get cherry, vanilla, and cocoa nibs. Somewhat reminds my of old forester single barrel. The finish is like a cherry coke with a bit of burn on the back. -
291 Barrel Proof Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon — Colorado , USA
Reviewed December 25, 2022 (edited July 29, 2024)This has a very interesting nose. I get overwhelming piney notes with citrus, assuming from being finished with aspen staves. The nose follows through into the palate with pine, citrus, and brown sugar. The finish is sweet, but you can't shake the pine taste. I would not buy this again, I think it's best to keep Aspen and bourbon separate. This goes up there with woodford masters 17 five stout as the worst whiskey I've had. -
On the nose chocolate, vanilla, toasted cereal, and slight cinnamon. On the palate it's a decadent bouquet of sweetness and spice, combined with a truck load of vanilla and just the right amount of oak. The finish is more of the same making each step a long and enjoyable experience.157.0 USD per Bottle

Gold Spot 9 Year Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed December 2, 2022 (edited January 14, 2023)Finally found this stuff! On the nose it's very fruity. Sour apple, apricot, and pear with the slightest hint of cereal. On the palate this stuff is decadent. It's smooth, sweet, and rich with a honey and cereal taste which gives way to a very mellow building finish. I love this stuff!125.0 USD per Bottle -
Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Sour Mash Whiskey (2022 Release)
Other Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 2, 2022On the nose I get barrel char, maple, and brown sugar. On the palate I get all of those smells in taste form. It's rich, smooth, and heavily toasted, you can feel the viscosity. The finish is nice and long, not an alcohol bite, but instead a lingering spice from the toast. Overall not bad. -
Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 17
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 30, 2022 (edited December 6, 2022)The nose is cinnamon, cherry, brown sugar, and ethanol. The palate is smooth for the proof with dark chocolate, cherries, and a building spice that makes for a very nice finish. I think I prefer this over batches 15 or 16. -
Old Crow Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed November 23, 2022 (edited November 24, 2022)Not sure why I'm drinking this, but here we go. The nose reminds me of moonshine, musty corn and alcohol present, very young. The palate isn't terrible, still get musty corn, but it's fairly sweet. I get a little spice on the finish.
