Neat. Aroma is unique Some agave and a lot of green things: herb leaves, grass, celery juice, limes, fruit cocktail/pears, earth, just a hint of alcohol. The more I smell it, the more I like it. Taste starts sugar sweet, quickly followed by minerals, herbs like tarragon and cilantro, vanilla, fading back to agave nectar partially countered by black pepper, saccharine bite and herb bitters. Full bodied and some oily mouthfeel Overall very rich and sweet, smooth, lots of flavors not found in most. Seems additive heavy, if that matters. OK value. Can think of cheaper that I'd personally rather drink, but none with a flavor profile like this32.0 USD per Bottle

Neat. Aroma is bright and clean. Agave, slight herbal, citrus, slight ethanol. Taste is sugar cane and agave sweet, citrus, green herbs, slight anise. After airing out/a few sips, some fruit and mint notes come out. Drying finish builds up over time.. Herbal, saccharine, some alcohol heat Overall a thinnish mouthfeel, a little alcohol heat, Pleasant and no off-putting flavors, but not very complex. Great value. If you're looking a blanco make some mixed drinks for a party, this is great. Around me the same price for a 750ml for Altos, I might lean to Altos as I slight prefer it as a sipper, but for 1.75l, this is 15 bucks cheaper and is a no brainer steal. Check out the reposado for a buck more15.0 USD per Bottle

El Padrino De Mi Tierra Blanco
Tequila Blanco — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed January 11, 2020 (edited March 30, 2021)Neat. Nose is lots of sweet fruity agave along with earth, brine. Fairly rich mouthfeel with flavors of big cooked agave, fruity, mild herbs like cilantro anise, hint of cinnamon and peppercorn. Finish is moderate with some herbal bitterness, black pepper, saccharine Overall very smooth, fairly pretty without any off-putting notes. Maybe not a purist's choice, but this could convert 'tequila haters' to give the spirit another chance. Some additives, but seems more restrained than their aged expressions. My pick of the range. Worth picking up when it goes on sale (which is fairly often)26.0 USD per Bottle -
Neat. The nose is spicy cinnamon, oak, tobacco, toffee, some expected heat. No surprises in the taste, lots of spicy, red hot cinnamon candy, charred oak, rye spices. Long, drying finish with tart ,sweet, oak, cinnamon. Dry, cinnamon, oak, rye are the notes that pop out for me. A must try for those who don't care for the butterscotch/caramel sweetness of many bourbons. Good price for a 100+ proofer. Willett fans will enjoy and must have38.0 USD per Bottle

Neat. Nose is light, earthy, fruity agave, green olive, some herbs, no heat. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is rich with sweet agave, cilantro, mint, anise, brine, oak, vanilla, light cinnamon and black pepper heat. Finish is long and counters the rich agave sweetness with intense bitter saccharine, pepper, and herbs Overall, a literal bittersweet blanco that's more interesting than most. Nice complex flavors, but personally, the finish holds my rating back a bit32.0 USD per Bottle

Casamigos Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Highlands, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed January 4, 2020 (edited May 29, 2020)Neat. Nose is smooth, butterscotch, agave, vanilla, oak, ripe fruit, faint herbal, flat cola? and just enough alcohol to keep it bright. Taste is fairly intense. Sweet vanilla custard, caramel/butterscotch, molasses, balanced with sweet oak, hints of herbs/anise, cocoa. Finish is moderately long smooth, saccharine, oak, vanilla, and chocolate. It's tasty in a guilty pleasure way. Obviously a lot of additives, but done better than most. Not sure if I'd buy a full bottle at regular prices, but not disappointed in a sampler just for the experience53.0 USD per Bottle -
Herradura Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed January 4, 2020 (edited July 20, 2020)Neat. Nose is pleasant. agave, caramel, vanilla, fruity, not much burn. No surprises in the taste. Medium mouthfeel. Sweet oak, agave, light caramel, slight vanilla, pears, chocolate near the end. Finish has some tartness, burnt sugar, cedar, saccharine. Overall, not bad. Additives are there, but restrained. Not my favorite añejo, even at this price point, but better than many and easily found at many watering holes44.0 USD per Bottle -
Neat. Nose is oak, vanilla, agave, or even alcohol. Lightish mouthfeel. Taste starts with sweet agave, pears, herbs, oak, vanilla, mild alcohol that builds after several sips. Finish is tart with a touch of sweetness, black pepper Overall, balanced, as in not overly thick and sweet, allowing some spicy and slight herbal notes to show. Additives seem minimal. I can appreciate the honesty as most inexpensive añejos seem like additive bombs. Not my favorite anejo, but so far near the top of my list in the $30 range. Would buy again for everyday sipping32.0 USD per Bottle
