Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 15, 2020 (edited February 13, 2021)Very good bourbon for the price. I get leather, citrus and oak on the nose. Much the same on the palate - more citrus and earthy notes than the vanilla and caramel. Balanced finish and low heat throughout - get orange and cream. Versatile as I can drink neat, on ice or in a drink.23.99 USD per BottleABC Fine Wine & Spirits -

High West A Midwinter Night's Dram
Rye — (bottled in) Utah, USA
Reviewed November 7, 2020 (edited November 27, 2020)Rye, spice and wine notes on the nose. Hits with classic rye spice then turns to cinnamon, clove spice, sweet red fruits. The finish is delicious and long. Can’t wait til my next dram!!120.0 USD per BottleGwin School -
I enjoyed this pour! It had some heat and spice upfront which I liked, then the marshmallow-caramel-vanilla sweetness followed. Wish it finished a bit better and the viscosity was in thinner side. For the money I think I would rather a OF1910 or Woodford DO, but that’s just me. Definitely worth trying for yourself!

Took this from another review - not going to reinvent the wheel in this one. Good mixer! "The nose is very light. I get some honey and malts. The taste is also pretty light. I saw someone else say butterscotch and I think it trends that way. Honestly for the price, it's a great budget Irish that I don't mind drinking neat. Nothing off-putting about it.” My scale: 1 - I’m giving this drink away 2 - I’ll mix it, but doesn’t stand on its own 3 - Enjoyable, but I’m willing to try something new 4 - Very good, If it’s on the shelf or menu - I’m buying 5 - Greatness Achieved, this drink is worthy of collecting

On the nose I get wood with a soft sweet corn. On the palate it’s leather upfront with slight heat and then notes of rye bread. It has a nice medium weight to it and the finish is long with a pleasant floral and herbal spice. Not the standard vanilla, caramel, cherry etc. bourbon flavor I’m used to. First couple drams I was not a fan, but once I get past my own expectations I appreciate it for the different flavor profiles and great weight and finish. This is a Binny’s Beverage Depot Store Pick. Sweet on the nose - caramel, vanilla. It’s a medium to full body feel. The palate comes with cinnamon and heat that fades to caramel, vanilla and coconut. The finish is long - starts with oak and fades back to the caramel, coconut, chocolates. Very good bourbon! NOTE: tasting Fall 2011 The 2011 bottle is good but not worth the hype, can’t speak to later offerings. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it but wouldn’t spend secondary market prices. Smooth at first but then hits almost immediately with some burn, lots of spice. The finish is uneventful, pick up on licorice, medicinal flavors.
