Dark, ruddy amber, very sticky. Nose is baking spices, toffee, mint, tart fruit and rye mustiness. Reminiscent of cacao dusted pecans and a Mexican mocha. Deglet noor dates. Even with a good splash of water, there's still a lot of heat here. Dry oak, lots of spices (clove) and more burnt caramel. Long finish notes really become out with another splash of water: cinnamon, chocolate and toasted coconut. This is really a great way to experience a whiskey that "opens up" with the addition of water. It's big and complex, but almost too bright, hot and acidic for my preference. Revisited a 3rd time... Got the fruit this time. Berries or cherries of the more tart variety... the brown sugar I get, too. After looking at all of my ratings of 3.75 and 4, I can't NOT put this at a 4. It's massive, juicy and has an incredible drawn out finish. It may not be my favorite, but it deserves a 4, without a doubt.63.99 USD per Bottle

Barrel #4726 Bottled on 11.13.19 Dark golden, amber hued. Super slow legs. Just hangs on the glass... Nose is vanilla, chocolate and coconut with hints of leather and a faint note of mint or eucalyptus. Rye contribution is discernable for sure. Smooth on the palate, showing a balance of sweetness and spices up front. warmth hits and builds following the swallow. Raisins and cigar boxes come to mind... Spices and mint early on the finish followed by chocolate, ripe fruit and coconut. Leaves a dry, oaky barrel char for a very long finish mingling with the residual ripe fruit, dark caramel and spice. Wonderfully complex, but subtle and nuanced in the way that it unfolds. A very special product, for sure.129.99 USD per Bottle

The nose is amazing. German apple cake: granny smith, caramel sauce, butterscotch, brown sugar and cinnamon. Soft on the palate, sweet front and more apple cake. Walnuts and candied pecans. A little rye grain and oak come through much later. Some warmth after the swallow that compliments the whole experience. This is an amazing product. No other way to put it.94.99 USD per Bottle

Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 6, 2020 (edited November 11, 2020)Pale straw/hay in color. Fast legs with a bit of residual stickiness. A little hot on the nose. bulk grains bins, spice, some light burnt caramel and a bit of herbal/ eucalyptus tone. Dry palate leaves a nice nuttiness behind with some caramel. Plenty of spice, some dry oak. A little minty or peppery note and some grassiness. I completely agree with others on this being a real value. Nothing magical, but good enough to drink neat and I'm sure it'll make a fine cocktail.15.99 USD per Bottle -

Reddish hued amber with thick sheets and slow legs Nose of vanilla, rye, buttercream, fall spices and raspberry or cherry candy. A hint of barrel char there too. Front shows fruit and is immediately followed by spices with butterscotch. That unmistakable peanut note, found in all of the Beam products is definitely there! Some lingering sweetness mingles with the sherry, fruit and dry oak on the finish. Wonderfully complex without anything jumping out too far. This is an incredible value at $34.9934.99 USD per Bottle

Maker's Mark 46 French Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 25, 2020 (edited March 19, 2021)They definitely achieved what they appear to be after... A more complex flavor profile that includes more chocolate and vanilla. This one is my favorite of the Maker's family, but I've yet to try many of the barrel select that are out there at $69.99. Familiar reddish copper. Nice sticky legs. Nose is caramel, butter, a grassy note and plenty of oak. Sweet, warm front the wheat comes through all the way. Some light spicy notes mid palate and a residual warmth come through the sweet milk chocolate dominated finish34.99 USD per Bottle -
Barrel number 7167088 selected by VA ABC. Pale golden straw color some stickiness to the legs Alcohol immediately apparent on the nose, with some toasty grain notes, eucalyptus and dry oak. Hot on the palate, with spice, dried herbs (rosemary?) and peanut brittle. Between the front and finish a little bit of peanut butter toast. Finishes dry with some caramel, peanut and more dry oak. Pretty underwhelming to be honest, for 37 bucks I can do a heck of a lot better.35.0 USD per Bottle
