Reviewed November 6, 2021 (edited November 13, 2021)Nose: bit alcohol forward, usual peppermint notes, vanilla sweetness, rye bread. More sweet than the Woodford Rye. Palate: silky and friendly start, then pepper from mid palate and caramel sweetness at the end Aftertaste: medium, sweet, creamy, more oaky after 2-3 sips. More oaky and active vs the woodford.Maglód -

Reviewed November 5, 2021 (edited January 2, 2022)Nose: fruits! Orange marmelade sweetness, cinnamon, freshness, but i do not find the usual pepperminty rye notes.later on more and more oak. Palate: alcohol forward, then sweetness and pungent spices (pepper). Not friendly at all. Finish: long, burning. But not too complex or enjoyable for me. Some mouth coating experience. Nose: fruits (citrus, melone, banana), vanilla, caramel, sandalwood, christmas spices. Palate: sweet upfront, baking spices from mid-palate, caramel. Finish: long, sweet, warming, little dryness. Getting real bitter/dry and more oaky after second/third sip. With water: much shorter finish, more sweetness. Tasting versus Nikka from the barrel - this has much more prominent nose, less sweet palate and finish. This one is more oaky. I like this one better due to more complexity.Maglód
