The nose is sweet salted caramel. The palate is doughy with cinnamon and fruit notes. The 90 proof is mild and there is very little heat. You could drink this all day long. This is a bourbon almost anyone could enjoy.

The nose is very sweet vanilla and cloves. Take several sips before evaluating. I get pumpkin pie spices and candy corn on the palate with a mild pepper finish. Very enjoyable and under rated due to its inexpensive price ($16). I have done blind tastings of this against mid-priced bourbons with people and it always rates well.

The nose is mild with caramel, figs, and smoke. The palate follows similarly, with more caramel and fruit. The finish is warm with a slight bitterness at the very end. A good light whiskey.

Ahh, Elijah Craig can do no wrong. Smoky, sweet and fruity BBQ nose. Strong, but not alcohol forward. The palate is at first fruity with lots of vanilla, fnishing spicy and finally a mild doughy pie. This is a particularly high proof even for ECBP but you'd never guess it. It does finish with a nice warm chest. Truly delicious.

Nose is sweet and fruity with a hint of cookie dough and molasses. At first soft on the palate but comes on strong. Classic Old Forester flavor, but more complex. Oily on the lips. Finishes strong and slow. A quick hint of menthol then cinnamon. Superior.

Reminiscent of Rebel Yell at higher proof and added sweet fruit from the rum cask. Go with Rebel Yell single barrel and add water at a fraction of the cost.

Cherry pie nose, singular. Starts with more of the same on the palate, adding molasses, and finishing with black licorice and finally pepper in your throat. The licorice lingers on your tongue.

Corn and burnt sugar nose. Very sweet and fruity up front, then woody oak and finally pepper in the end. This is made by Barton's, so essentially a 12 year old 1792 at 98 proof. Good but not remarkable enough to justify a $92 price tag, regardless of the 12 year label.
