Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Heroes Selection
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed November 19, 2022Nose: baking spices, caramel, banana Palate: peanuts, banana nut bread (hint of it but not like the bonded bottle) Finish: fire, lots of warmth Overall: prefer JD bonded but love the look of this bottle, love the proof -
Joseph Magnus Triple Cask Finished Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (Finished and Bottled in Washington DC), USA
Reviewed November 14, 2022 (edited December 16, 2022)Nose: Butterscotch Palate: Wheat bread with a little bit of strawberry jam, some spice, some earthy tones at the back Finish: Not non-existent, but not great Overall: Price for this bottle just jumped to $100 in my market. Waaay over priced in my opinion. I might pay $50.100.0 USD per Bottle -
Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch Whiskey (Sourced Whiskey)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed November 14, 2022 (edited December 20, 2022)Nose: Bit of floral, butter popcorn, honey. Palate: Overused term, but just smooth as hell. Slight oaky notes. Some floral notes. Finish: Not overly hot or spicy. Sips to proof and definitely could be a daily drinker. Overall: This was a gift from my buddy who told me to listen to the How I Built This podcast before tasting it. I also watched the video on their website. Incredible story! Pleasantly surprised by this and will continue to be a fan and support this brand. -
Taste #100 (thank you, Distller app!) Nose: typical OF banana foster but deeper and more complex, butterscotch and toffee Palate: so balanced, banana nut bread but not as sweet (little toffee transfers) Finish: pleasant, it’s viscous so coats your mouth and it definitely drinks below the proof Overall: My brother and I each scored a bottle when we visited the distillery in Lville after chatting it up with Barb (thanks, for the opportunity to purchase, Barb!). It’s probably my most prized bottle in my modest bourbon collecting career/hobby. Great legs and a much darker color in the glen compared to most of my other bourbons.180.0 USD per Bottle

Nose: buttery butterscotch Palate: too much oak that overpowers any sherry notes, pumpernickel bread Finish: short and thin Overall: The sherry finish bottle they put out a few years ago was way better. Is it weird to say that it was in the barrel too long at 6 years? Is that the double oak? Too much oak for me and price point is way to high.
