Nose: side by side, has the standard wheated bourbon nose: slight vanilla and caramel, but with more fruit. Papaya, stewed apples, oak. Palette: sweet cinnamon and cordial cherries, not as sweet as wheated standard, there seems to be a peanut note and some sweet rye present. The finish has short flavor but dry tannins linger. Id say an older candain rye is mixed in there. Perfect for the everyday, well balanced.

Reviewed February 23, 20246y10mo. WF6, barrel 39-8 or B. Nevada H&C 120.06 proof Nose: musty, oaky, citrus, marshmellow. Palette: whoa. Very flavorful. Candied almonds, marshmallow and vanilla, cherry syrup, baking spices, cherry mint if that makes sense on the back palette, slight rye spice on the finish but its quick, followed by more dark fruit and burnt sugar. Tannic long finish. -
Batch 1, purchaed in 2023 Nose: familiar russels nose. Caramel, grain, vanilla, some sort of spice Palette: rose petals (?), chicory, candied peanuts, spices on the mid. Vanilla and oak in the back, cinnamon. Few drips of water ipens up the sweetness more and tones down the spice, but still has good tannins. Some chocolate and apricot make an appearance. Fun one!
