Tastes

Batch 1, purchaed in 2023 Nose: familiar russels nose. Caramel, grain, vanilla, some sort of spice Palette: rose petals (?), chicory, candied peanuts, spices on the mid. Vanilla and oak in the back, cinnamon. Few drips of water ipens up the sweetness more and tones down the spice, but still has good tannins. Some chocolate and apricot make an appearance. Fun one!

2023 release Nose: slight marshmallow, grainy, melon, grassy Palette: sweet cinnamon, fades to dry oak, some rye spice, caramel. Grain comes through, not too sweet, different spices over balance.

Nose: straw, raisin, spearmint, bubblegum? Palette: whia this is different for OF. Sweet, more bubblegum, sweet oak, banana, cotton candy, rye spice on the back end, mint, cedar, more tannins, caramel and some vanilla in the finish. But the nose on this is impeccable.

Daveco select, 128.3 proof, wh: K, floor 3 Nose: strong peanut, marshmellow, caramel, Palette: caramel sweetness upfront, oak, spearmint, fig and raisin, makes the mouth tingle. Much drier finish than the others in there line up.

Heacy smoke nose, popcorn, caramel Palette: typical OF progile with some added char, not too sweet, sloght bitterness.

Nose: kind of loght, some caramel, nuts Palette: sweet anise, caramek, nutty, just keeps changing! So dimentional. Chocolate, some dark fruits, tannins in the finish which is long with some spearmint, more chocolate covered nuts, and lasts forever. So good Compared to the 13 year, the 13 has a more complex nose, and more of a bite. Sweeter, mintier, but not as complex.

Nose: smells like dickel Palette: see dickel 15.

Single barrel 49.1% 13 yr Nose: sweet vitamin Palette: dickel-esque with peanut. Oaky finish with some cola.

Dump: 8-22-22 barrel 1214, warehouse H, rick 38, 125.9 proof Nose: toffee, vanilla, oak Palette: cocoa nibs, heavy bodied, thick caramel, dark brown sugar, slight herbal flavor. Pretzels and nutty, long finish

Sweet and slight smooy char. Easier sipper, typical peat malt combo.
