I opened this bottle a few months ago, and I wasn't overly impressed. Revisiting it now I'm enjoying it a bit more, but still not in love with it. I do pick up more sweetness this go round, and it has a nice viscous mouth feel. Not much spice, but a good amount of alcohol heat. Lots of leather notes and a fair amount of bitter woodiness. These are the flavors that linger in the aftertaste too. I do enjoy the regular version of Larceny, but the barrel proof is just not a favorite for me.49.99 USD per Bottle

Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 21, 2021 (edited April 3, 2021)I've officially reached the next level of tater now that I'm having my first swig of Elmer T Lee. The first thing I noticed was the color, very light yellow gold, not as dark as I might have expected. The nose is terrific, tart baked apples. Classic bourbon palate, with lots of toffee notes. It's sweet, but not overly so. The baked apple notes from the nose are also present on the tongue, but you get a taste of buttery cinnamon crust, too. The finish is pleasantly warm with very little bitterness. It has a similar flavor profile to Blanton's, but richer and a little spicier. -
George Dickel 9 Year Hand Selected Barrel
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed March 12, 2021 (edited November 19, 2022)My bottle was selected John's City Diner. You get the classic Dickel flavors, a little fruity, a little smokey, and a noticable mineral taste. I get plenty of sweetness and a nice rich spiciness. A little corn, baking spices, and charred oak make themselves known. It finishes sweet with no bitterness. This is a nice bottle for sipping. -
