To beginwe get vanilla, cereal, mild oak, cinnamon, hints of orange and honey. the finish comes back with vanilla, and honey with the oeat then entering but its not as robust as some other johhnie bottles. it was okay but not my cup of tea80.0 USD per Bottle

Stagg Barrel Proof Bourbon 22A
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 1, 2023 (edited November 15, 2023)Absolute brusier of a whiskey. This tasting it done neat without addition of water. the proof isnt very hidden on this one but at that proof its a bit tough. immediate warmth, dry oak and barrel char. The finish has a long spicy finish with some sweeter notes residing after the ethanol fades. slight pings of granny smith apple and burnt cinnamon throughout the body as well. Ive always said bourbon isnt my strong suit, but this one really pushed me. its a bit too hot for my taste but i havent tried it with any addition of water. nice to finally try a stagg bottle tho! -
Weller Antique 107 Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 29, 2023 (edited February 18, 2024)A caramel that increases in intensity along with spiced apple, vanilla cream, oak, cereal and some lighter dried fruits. some citrus comes up in particular for me. The finish is a medium to short finish, has a steady spice and mild char all the way to the end. This one comes out as particularly fruity and sweet which is fantasic as the higher proof also adds another layer of complexity. 2/19/24: antique 107 is my FAV weller so far. Ive yet to have CYPB or single barrel but as of now, its the best weller in my opinion. Special reserve is great for the price but not much to brag about. 12 having alot more oaky notes and much more interesting. 107 having a very great complexity on the palette with the fruit notes, oak, spice, and i find 107 to be a perfect proofing for this. Full proof showcasing oaky, burnt brown sugar and another classic high proofing make it my second favorite.39.0 USD per Bottle -
I think this is by far my favorite blantons. Dried fruit, vanilla bean, some sweeter almost tropical fruit notes. the body has some oak stored but but isnt a woody powerhouse. There is also light hay, light char and more dried fruit. The finish is effortless and easy, with a gentle tingle of cinnamon spice. this one really just hit every mark for me in the bourbon category, i have to rate it a 5. maybe i need to take a trip to japan

Finally finished my standard ardbeg bottle collection with this one. starts off with a saline presence, some dark fruit drizzled in mollases, chocolate and dark coffee grinds, then picking up on the bourbon char, oak, salted meat and a minerality similar to some mezcals. The finish is medium to long, bringing back the minerality, char and peat. A fantastic bottle from ardbeg and i can see why its so highly rated. Its not a sherry bomb but it has the perfect amount of sherry to interact accordingly with the peatiness.80.0 USD per Bottle

A soft and buttery mouthfeel, some apricot/apple notes, butterscotch, hay and cereal coming though that turns to hay, light oak, hints of bourbon char and a drier finish thats medium to long with baking spice and char. a customer graciously gifted me this bottle and im very impressed. For the price its a great, easy drinker with enough character to keep you entertained. highly reccomended!45.0 USD per Bottle

75 dollar blanco tequila. You think they would have enough additives to hide the terrible tequila used for this but unfortunately not. The agave notes are watery and weak at best, flooded by a aspartame vanilla, then notes of spearmint and then the aspartame bitter finish. This stuff is rancid. im so glad i did NOT buy this. Not that i would buy a tequila bottle that looks like a tapout T-shirt lol75.0 USD per Bottle

Trail's End 10 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished with Oregon Oak
Bourbon — Kentucky (bottled in Oregon), USA
Reviewed October 14, 2023Deep caramel, vanilla, cherry, which turns to more robust oak, toastiness, cashew, leather and a heavier baking spice. The finish is medium to long, woody, with a decent spice throughout. Personally i enjoy the 8 year apple brandy cask but for those who like more robust bourbons would enjoy this greatly.50.0 USD per Bottle
