Sweet mesquite Texas bbq note on the nose! But after a while in the glass it seems imitation, cheap.
Slick and sweet with caramel on the palate, but leaves a bitter note.
Warming finish, but the imitation and bitter notes compete with the nice sweet caramel, and mesquite bbq notes. Can’t say which wins.

When in texas...
Nose: corn whiskey, lots of barrel spice, light maple, theres a hint of smoke. Grilled peaches. Brown sugar.
Palate: has some heat to it. Syrupy texture. Smoldering Oak chips. Caramel, very light dry smoke. Lots of bourbon notes. Cinnamon. Oak.
Finish: drying, warming, tannic, a gentle smoke comes out as you let it ride.
This is by far the strangest whiskey ive tried. Its just so funky. I get instant mint. It drinks hotter than it is. The smell translates to the taste but not as strong. Once you pop the bottle you instantly get a whiff of what is probably better described by someone else. I cant figure it out… minty smoky cheese… strange
