Barrell Bourbon Batch 033

Nose: peach pie spices but a bit subdued overall Taste: peach pie filling with some salty seawater, allspice I love the barrell bourbon lines but this one wasn’t one of my favorites. Watch video review here: https://youtu.be/vK52I2lQB-c

Nose is orange and vanilla. sweeter, finish is candied corn, apricot, caramel and vanilla. Also some spicy citrus notes in there. Excellent and amazingly drinkable neat despite its ABV. The negative reviews on here are clearly about price, but that’s literally tons of bourbon these days. There’s no rhyme or reason to it other than hype. This distillery is hyped right now but it will probably pass. This is an excellent bourbon.

Typical vanilla and honey notes on the nose. Brownish hue. Nice and syrupy on the tongue . The hotness obscures some of the flavor. If you dig you can get the brown sugar. I wouldn't turn it down, but I'm not sure I would buy it again.

Needed a lot of water. Very strong, but sweet.

For starters, I don’t have the most developed palate. I’m interested and partial to Barrell as I have tried and like there finished whiskeys. I’m getting citrus fruit with some vanilla on the palate, for me this drink sits more on the bright fruit/sweet side with enough spice to make things interesting. Long subdued finish. Drinks much lower than the proof. There is a depth and complexity here that is expected of a premium product, but nothing that will “wow” you. Solid batch. I agree with the distiller score, 89, although we differ on the notes.

To the people hyping this bottle just stop. It's not good and I'm pissed I wasted 90 bucks on this crap

Nose: cinnamon and baking spice, faint coffee, now getting some citrus Palate: red fruit with floral notes, super balanced throughout and drinks well below the proof Finish: get that warmth and tightness in the back of the throat that isn’t overpowering but lingers Overall: yes to this bottle. I’ve had some other Barrell’s that were a miss, but would buy this again

Very tight and subdued on the nose, gotta really dig to get something beyond a little cinnamon, brown sugar and butterscotch. Supple, silky even on the palate, semisweet, also very subdued with brown sugar, butterscotch, light baking spices, hints of citrus. Finish is long, spicy and warming with butterscotch. Observation based on the first couple pours, I think it has plenty of room to improve with oxidation. Distiller Review No. 660
